There are many companies that have stolen our brand name in an attempt to bait-and-switch you with a different product that is not produced by Oil Sponge LLC. the originator of Oil Sponge microbial-based absorbents.

The Oil Sponge brand is a registered trademark owned by Oil Sponge LLC. and registered through WIPO (International Bureau of World Intellectual Property Organization), registration number 1 077 975. 

Companies such as SRI France have been directly tied to the Oil Sponge brand when they use to sell our product, but have have knocked-off our remedial parts washer product line, absorbent recovery system, cleaner technology, back-doored our suppliers and sold it under the SRI brand.  Not an originator but an imitator.

Another company Arrow Magnolia actually lists a product named Oil Sponge on their website, but shows a picture of a completely different product.  Adding insult to injury is the fact that they sell their inferior knock-off product for almost $100 more!  Again, Arrow Magnolia use to buy our product for the Texas Department of Transportation, but have since changed to deceiving their customers with another product.

Another company Argonne National Laboratory chose the name Oleo Sponge for their oil absorbent material, again another bait and switch using "Oleo" in place of "Oil".  This time it is a government funded laboratory.  Seriously, they thought by switching to a Spanish name for oil would separate them from infringing on the registered brand Oil Sponge.
